Frequently asked questions
What happens if I exceed my monthly limit?
On paid plans, API access pauses for the remainder of the billing period once you hit your limit. You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time — changes take effect immediately. We'll send a warning when you reach 80% of your limit.
What does 'rate limit' mean?
The rate limit is the maximum number of API requests per second. The Free tier allows 2 req/sec. Scale allows 40 req/sec. If you need higher throughput, contact us for a custom arrangement.
Are the address endpoints really free?
Yes. Address find (autocomplete), postcode lookup, and basic address resolution don't count against your monthly call allowance. They're free to call at any volume on any plan.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and billing is prorated. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Do you cover Scotland?
Currently England and Wales only — 29 million properties. Scotland is on the roadmap but not yet available.
How fresh is the transaction data?
Transaction data comes from live Homemove completion events — not Land Registry batch updates that lag by weeks. When a property completes, we know. This is built by people who run a conveyancing platform, not a data reseller.
